Mango's PMail

Dogs and humans are two of the only species that read each other's faces, eyes, and tone to understand feelings, not just commands. Every sniff, tail wag, and scent left on a walk is a form of communication, a canine kind of “p-mail” passed between neighborhood pups. Scientists have found that positive exchanges between dogs and people release oxytocin, the same bonding hormone parents and children share, in both species at once. Leaving Mango a note is a small act of that same connection: a two-way conversation, just in a different language.
